Great Hashing in Hong Kong
Great
Trails
Hong Kong has superb trails for
hashing. Run on hillsides, through the trees, in tall grass, through
old villages. See views over into China, across the world famous Mai Po
wetlands, and towards the new towns of modern Hong Kong. Hashing
started over 40 years ago in Hong Kong and Nash Hash will have some of
our best runs ever to suit all levels of fitness and experience.
Great culture
and traditions
Hong Kong is home to many old
Chinese cultures and traditions. See ancient temples still in daily
use. Marvel at the Chinese Opera still performed by itinerant troupes
around the villages and islands. Or get yourself to Causeway Bay for
the more recent tradition of the Noon Day Gun.
Great Nightlife
Hong Kong bars never close
until the last customer leaves. Come to the bright lights of Wanchai
and sample the many different bars including the Queen Victoria with
its dancing pole or live band venues such as Spicy Fingers and The
Wanch. The bar crawl on Friday night will introduce you to a wide
variety of drinking holes – you’re sure to find one you like!
Great Beers
Hong Kong has a worldwide
selection of beers (and wines). Hashers drink Carlsberg, San Miguel or
Tsingtao and nearly every bar has a Happy Hour until 9 or 10pm in the
evening. Some bars even have a Crazy Hour between 5 and 6pm where
prices are even cheaper than Happy Hour.
Great Food
You name it, Hong Kong can
provide it. All manner of Chinese regional cuisines, Indian, Thai,
Japanese. From simple Dai Pai Dongs where you sit outside on a plastic
chair up to Michelin starred restaurants in 6 star hotels. Dim Sum is a
great local favourite – especially the chickens feet!
